Here’s what’s coming up this weekend on State of Belief Radio –
So the election is over, and as we all know, the outcome turned out to be… shall we say… lopsided. George Washington University’s Greg Lebel is back with us, to analyze what happened – and just as importantly, what it means for our country in the next two years.
Also, the right to die for terminally ill patients is being widely discussed. It’s legal in Orgegon, where activist Brittany Maynard ended her own life at the age of 29 last weekend. We’ll overview this sensitive issue with Religion News Service Senior National Correspondent Cathy Lynn Grossman, who’s written widely on the heartbreaking situation, as well as on the way different religious denominations address this sensitive and deeply personal issue.
We’ll also hear from the Rev. Tim Kutzmark. He’s ordained in the Unitarian Universalist Association, which does not forbid the practice in the way most denominations do. Rev. Kutzmark went through a change of heart on this issue after personal experiences with terminally ill persons.
