Here’s what’s coming up on the next State of Belief Radio:
A new report on the glaring discrepancy between public perception of terrorism and Islam, and the facts. You’ll hear Dr. Charles Kurzman, the author of a new study titled “Muslim-American Terrorism Declining Further,” published by the Triangle Center on Terrorism and Homeland Security, a consortium of Duke University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and RTI International.
Plus, the man who followed the teachings of twelve different faith traditions for twelve different months, Andrew Bowen is back. He’s just published the book “Project Conversion: One Man, 12 Faiths, One Year,” and you’ll want to hear what he learned from the experience – and how those lessons could help a world torn by religious strife.
And “God Loves Uganda:” documentary filmmaker Roger Ross Williams will be here to talk about what he found while investigating the bloody anti-gay atmosphere in that African nation, and the western influences that continue to feed that atmosphere. The Academy Award-Winning director also found some glimmers of hope in his experience. Here’s the trailer for the film:
That’s all coming up next time, on State of Belief! Here’s how to listen.
