This past weekend, we told you about the special ceremony that Middle Collegiate Church in New York City was organizing to mark the birthday of nonviolence and civil rights hero Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. To promote the biblical message of “beating swords into ploughshares,” the congregation hosted a day-long teach-in and the literal turning of a gun into a farming implement:
