Here’s what’s coming up this weekend on State of Belief Radio –
We saw some contradictory voting patters on November 4th. Dr. Robert P. Jones, CEO of the Public Religion Research Institute will be with us to look at the values driving those choices, through the comprehensive 2014 Post-Election American Values Survey, asking, “What Motivated Voters During the Midterm Elections?”
Also, Evangelical leader David Gushee. He recently publicly came out in support of marriage equality, and released a new book titled Changing Our Mind: A call from America’s leading evangelical ethics scholar for full acceptance of LGBT Christians in the Church.
Meanwhile, the Human Rights Campaign is launching its pro-LGBT campaign in Mississippi. It’s called “All God’s Children.” Brad Clark, Director of HRC’s Project One America, joins us from Jackson.
And this week, the National Cathedral in Washington, DC opened its doors for Muslim Friday Prayers. We’ll hear why from the Rev. Gina Campbell, Director of Liturgy at the Cathedral.
