Lee Ann Eastman is a member of the Sisseton Wahpeton Sioux Tribe who has been on the front lines of the struggle for Native rights and clean water at Standing Rock, ND. She spoke with State of Belief Host Welton Gaddy from the protestors’ camp in North Dakota.
Sparked by the controversial Dakota Access Oil Pipeline, the battle between local and federal law enforcement on the one hand and Native American activists and advocates on the other has boiled over into bloody violence.
