Atop its hill in northwest Washington, D.C., Washington National Cathedral plays a significant role in the religious life of the nation. The house of worship has long served as a spiritual resource for our country and its leaders. The Very Rev. Gary Hall began his tenure as the tenth dean of the Cathedral in October 2012, and has established himself as an authoritative voice for ethical and moral issues affecting all Americans. Dean Hall joins Welton on State of Belief this week to talk about the role the Cathedral specifically, and organized religion in general, has had in America over the past year, and how he views that role as we look ahead to 2014.
