Many of us are also confronting the ways in which we implicitly contribute to a status quo that has continued to have deadly consequences for Black people, and we are educating ourselves on how to be the strongest allies so that the ideals of equality under the law that we hold so dear truly mean something. Kerry Connell, author of Good White Racist?: Confronting Your Role in Racial Injustice, will join Welton to discuss the importance of allyship and how non-black Americans can and should confront their own privileges.
