In four states on Tuesday, the rights of LGBT Americans were put to a vote as marriage equality appeared in multiple forms on the ballot. And for the first time, voters turned away from abridging the rights of their LGBT neighbors. On this week’s State of Belief, we’ll look at those results with Rev. Pat Bumgardner, senior pastor at Metropolitan Community Church in New York City and a leader in the city’s human rights community. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of her ordination this week, Rev. Bumgardner is also the executive director of the Global Justice Institute.
