Happy Thanksgiving! As we take a break in the final weeks of a difficult year, you’ll hear some interviews from past State of Belief programs that we are particularly grateful for.

In 2012, State of Belief host Rev. Welton Gaddy spoke with Peggy Gillespie of the Family Diversity Projects. With a growing number of educational presentations on the rich variety of American families, the organization is still going strong.

A multifaith conversation among three women grew into a long-lasting educational project as well as a successful book titled The Faith Club, which appeared in 2006. From 2011, here’s our conversation with all three authors – Ranya Idliby, Suzanne Oliver, and Priscilla Warner.

And we’ll revisit Welton’s visit with Dr. A. C. Grayling, a celebrated public thinker – and a leading voice for secularism in the UK and beyond. In 2012, Professor Grayling had just  published The Humanist Bible, a brilliant look at the truly universal values most of us share beyond any particular religious faith or tradition.

State of Belief is made possible in great part by the generous support of our listeners. Please consider making a donation to help keep us on the air at this critical time. Details can be found at our donations page here.
